Comprehensive Scientific Creativity Assessment (C-SCA) data
This database contains performance data from 347 secondary school students who completed two Comprehensive Scientific Creativity Assessments (C-SCAs). To ensure confidentiality, all data were fully anonymized, with student identifiers replaced by numerical codes. The database includes detailed demographic information, students' scientific knowledge scores, motivation in scientific creativity, and divergent and convergent thinking scores.
Motivation is assessed through intrinsic motivation (10 items) and extrinsic motivation (6 items), with total scores calculated by summing the respective items.
Divergent thinking is measured using six tasks (Q1, Q2, Q5, Q6, Q9, and Q10), with their sum representing the overall divergent thinking score.
Convergent thinking is evaluated through elaboration and logicality scores (from Q3, Q7, and Q11) and critique scores (from Q4, Q8, and Q12), which are combined into three task-based scores: Task 1 (Q3 + Q4), Task 2 (Q7 + Q8), and Task 3 (Q11 + Q12).
