Data underpinning "On the scaling of the number of modes in 125µm-cladding graded-core trench-assisted optical multimode fibres"

<p dir="ltr">This dataset contains optimised refractive index profile designs for multimode optical fibres with over 1000 linearly polarised modes. The base profile is composed of a graded-index core and a cladding trench. Differential mode delay was optimised following the procedure described in the manuscript "On the scaling of the number of modes in 125µm-cladding graded-core trench-assisted optical multimode fibres", DOI: 10.1109/ICTON59386.2023.10207431. The optimisation was carried out on Matlab using a vector finite difference mode solver following the method in DOI: 10.1109/JLT.2008.923643.</p>
