The pristine cell was scanned using a Nikon XTH 225 instrument (Nikon Metrology, Tring, UK). The voltage and beam current were set at 200 kV and 150 µA, resulting in a power of 30 W. A cone-beam employing a tungsten target was used with an exposure time of 1 s per projection, and a total of 3185 projections were collected per tomogram with a 0.5 mm Sn filter. The 2028 × 2028 pixels CCD camera detector achieved a voxel resolution of 45 μm with a field-of-view of ca. 91 × 91 mm2.
