Data and supplementary material for "Random Walk for modelling Multi Core Fiber cross-talk and step distribution characterisation". It contains the data-set with the experimental measurement from which the conclusion in the paper have been drawn. It consists of various measurements of Inter Core Cross-Talk (IC-XT) for various different modulation formats, signalling and measurement conditions. It also includes the pre-processed data for the Machine Learning setup for source signal classification described in the journal and the Hyper-parameters for each model trained. In addition all figure data in included.
With the data the supplementary material for the paper is present. It consists of three PDF files: "Convergence of Models", where we prove that the proposed random walk based model converges to the most widely used in literature; "Derivation of original phase shift for every core pair", where we derive the theoretical phase shift induced by bend between core pair of a multi-core fibre, which we consider the starting point for the proposed model; "Step distribution and STAXT analysis", where we try to derive analytical expression and analyse properties of the step-distribution for both the proposed and the model in literature and we analyse how both models are affected by Short Time Average Cross-Talk (STAXT), one of the most used analytical methods used to analyse IC-XT, in respect of experimental data.
