To mark the start of Love Data week here at UCL, the Research Data Management (RDM) team have put together the annual RDM review.
RDM covers the decisions made - and actions taken - to manage research outputs across the research data lifecycle. RDM complements other areas of research support such as Open Access, Bibliometrics, Research Integrity and Citizen Science which together form some of the components of the wider Open Science and Scholarship domain.
In 2021, we reviewed a record-breaking number of data management and sharing plans; plus, we are publishing more research outputs than ever using the Research Data Repository. We also provided online training via Moodle to staff and students across UCL in data management planning; in addition to collaborating with the Open Access and Bibliometrics teams to continue providing training in Open Science and Scholarship.
There have also been changes to Library Services - we are now known as Library, Culture, Collections and Open Science which is a part of the new Office of the UCL Vice-Provost (Research, Innovation and Global Engagement).
So as we begin 2022, join us in looking back over just some of the highlights from 2021.
